Twist on Shakespeare makes for good night | Chronicle Herald

"Watching Good Night Desdemona, Good Morning Juliet, is like watching the new Simpsons movie — you have to be very quick to catch all the witty literary references and clever puns as the intelligent humour swings from highbrow to downright bawdy...The Metamorphic Theatre production fills the Chester Playhouse stage with outrageously high energy as the five actors take on 16 often gender-crossing roles."

"While some of the playwrights’ characters were unpleasant to the point of obnoxious, the players managed to breathe a certain loveable sweetness into their tentatively written shells. Levels of vulnerability made all five characters seem astonishingly real; the intimacy of Agricola Street Space (essentially a modified living room) made the production seem, at times, breathtakingly immediate."
