Helping Our Community

Metamorphic Theatre has partnered with the Canadian Cancer Society! In 2010 a portion of our ticket sales will go directly to the enhancement of the quality of life of people living with cancer.

Ticket sales alone will not be enough to stage a show. Therefore, we are seeking to secure additional funding for things such as set design, technicians, touring and publicity. The more costs we are able to cover through sponsorship opportunities the more we can in turn pass along to the Canadian Cancer Society on behalf of Metamorphic Theatre and our supporters.

If you are interested in becoming a sponsor please contact Samantha Madore: sam@metamorphic.ca

About Metamorphic Theatre

Metamorphic Theatre was founded in 2005 as a labour of love among fellow Neptune Theatre School graduates Amanda Jonz, Samantha Madore and Jennifer O’Brien. Their goal: to put their training to good use. As a result, the artistic mandate of Metamorphic Theatre is to translate the human experience onto the stage while promoting local works and talent.

Currently led by co-founder and performer Samantha Madore and performer Amy Reitsma, a Queen’s University music graduate, Metamorphic Theatre continues to look for projects that audiences can relate to.

This Halifax based theatre company puts on productions showcasing Atlantic Canadian playwrights, stories, performers and technical skills. Since the beginning, Metamorphic Theatre has produced four plays, including a successful Nova Scotian tour of Daniel MacIvor’s influential play Marion Bridge. Based on the Halifax performances, Metamorphic Theatre won “Best Play” in The Coast’s 2006 Best of Halifax readers’ survey.
