DaPoPo and Metamorphic Postpones Musical and Presents So… What About Love? Cabaret at the Atlantic Fringe Festival

September 7, 2009, Halifax, NS – DaPoPo Theatre and Metamorphic Theatre have postponed presenting the musical What About Luv? until after the Atlantic Fringe Festival due to delays in rights clearances. Instead, they have joined forces to present an original cabaret called So… What About Love? from September 11-13 in the Neptune Studio Theatre at the 2009 Atlantic Fringe Festival. Tickets are $7 and available at Neptune Theatre foyer from 12:00 noon to 11:00 pm or at the door during the festival, September 3-13. Visit www.atlanticfringe.ca for more information.

“We’re happy that we’re able to present an original work at the Fringe with our new cabaret,” said Eric Benson, Director. “Garry, Andrew, Amy and I have worked hard on it and it definitely won’t disappoint. Despite the snag, we’ll be able to present the originally scheduled musical after the Fringe, later this fall.”

So… What About Love? is written and performed by Andrew Chandler, Garry Williams and Amy Reitsma, with direction by Eric Benson and stage management by Kim Parkhill. The cabaret features original material about people in desperate situations and what/how those situations make you do/feel. It draws parallels between romantic relationships and artistic relationships – connections shared with partners and also audience members, characters and other actors.
